Day 2 - Beach and Lakers

We started the day with not many plans except for an NBA game later tonight. Even though they aren't doing very well at all, we were hoping to see the LA Lakers beat the Utah Jazz.
Some massive head we found.

After a bit of a slow start, we made our way to a nearby bus stop and rode the bus down to Venice Beach.

The bus ride was pretty uncomfortable, but we got there and went down to the water. It was a pretty big beach. The sand wasn't as fine as Australia, but wasn't as thick as the sad in New Zealand, somewhere in the middle.

We checked out some of the markets along the beach and Bazz even stopped and did some dips at 'Muscle Beach. '

We finished up at the beach with a stop off at Sugar,  a sweet shop, to have a look at some of the different candies they have over here and then we were back on the bus.

We have started to get the public transport stuff down so we ventured all the way into downtown LA and had a walk around. It was a bit of a dive, but we found little Tokyo, were we did some shopping and had a late lunch.

We finally made our way to the train station and had to catch three different trains to get to the Staples Center for the Basketball game. We had a look around the Staples Center; the LA teams store (Lakers, Clippers and Kings) an then decided to grab a beer.

The random Aussies

At the bar, we ran into the same three Aussies that we caught the train back to LA with last night. We had a few beers with them and found out they live in Adelaide. One of them is a Port Adelaide supporter, so we didn't talk to him.

We headed off to the game which wasn't really that great; a bit slow, the Lakers Lost, and beer was expensive.

We're sad because the Lakers lost

We stopped off at that same pub again and got dinner and a couple more beers. I was able to talk to Haidee and the kids while we were there. The internet hasn't been that great in the places we've been.

We caught the train home, saw a but more of Lucifer being filmed, and then went of to bed.
